Geofolk is the first photo album by photographer and visual documentarian Botond Dávid, which presents the diversity of folk costumes in the European Union, creating a visual memorial of living traditions.

This book is not an ethnographic collection, it is not intended to be exhaustive, but rather a broad selection: it gives a taste from the diversity of ethnicity in the regions of the European Union. The selection of more than 400 pictures shows the traditional costumes of the 27 EU countries. In addition to geographical diversity, the selection of the images was also based on the distinctive appearance and cultural significance of the presented garments. The book is divided into three chapters, focusing on iconic and artistically prominent elements of folk costume. The first chapter focuses on headgear, which in many cases is a clear marker of a particular region or social status and fashion. The second chapter focuses on handicrafts – lace, embroidery, fabrics – highlighting the delicacy and technical diversity of traditional textile craftsmanship. The third chapter focuses on the keepers of tradition, since the true meaning of the garments lies in those who wear and pass down this living heritage.
